the floor is not actually lava.. but it has needed a lot of love. in certain areas of the apartment there were layers of flooring (carpeting over tile over hardwood floor OR tile over tile over hard wood floor). the carpeting and tiles have all been removed and every inch of the floor was hand scrapped to remove the adhesive.
